Mini Paragraph
There are a few things i learned by seeing other peoples films and just observing the effect controls on Premier Pro and that is the lightning of the film, i learned how to make a simple picture look more intmidating by using the lightning. One of thee main videos i've seen that helped me out with alot is John Ferils videos, he always uses the perfect amout of effect consuming onto his pictures or his clip. Anyways these aresome nice things that helped me out and by viewing other peoples videos. Helps me alot and makes my video alot clearer. Im glad i took this class, with out this class i wouldnt know how to edit, effect, film, anything you can imagine.! Thanks Dr. A
Reflecting On Your Blog
Early in the year, I learned the importance of editing, making clean cuts, and filming. You can see that my first film, I didnt do this, especially in the scene where skyler is talking for a while when i know for a fact that i could of made something very creative and i could of make like a jump skip where skyler sais something and then i put another classmate saying something else that makes sense at the same time. On my second project i did i learned how to do Over the shoulder shot . A scene that shows this well is in the film caleld "Over the shoulder play", when we used this shot, we uised it like a play and easy play. Where im conversating with sabrena about how her grandma left her money for college. But someone had to tell sabrena and i was the one who did. After i told her she was very excited. All these clips that i filmed took so much effort to learn how to. I have to thank Dr. A because he would have us practice before we even did a final copy of any effect we tried doing, even cutting, etc. Later in the year, I showed that i really had learned that concept well, since I showed this in the other project. One good example is from our video "Honesty DUUUUDE" in the scene where Taylor and myself leave the beach, it shows us walking away from it then trails out into the sky, so it was a sky shot i guess. But i feel like thats a great thought and became a really good routine for the rest of our video. All in all i felt like taking this class will defintly help me in the long run and i feel like if anyone needs a film edited or something i can be the man for that job. I'd like to thank you Dr. A for all the things you taugh me about creating a film. Or even Filming.

a trip to foreverland
Reflection: There are a few things that this video expresses and it just might be what you all are thinking of but here is the meaning to our video. There is a young boy who is leaving his family to go to his own private school thats located in foreverland. He's going to a new place and he is nervous because he needs to meet new people and he just doesn't know what to expect. So it's time for the young boy to depart from his family. He is saying all of his good byes to his family etc. As he approaches his destination he is amazed on how nice the place really is. As he gets off the train he glances around and sees that one women of his dreams and instanly fell in love. He is now getting comfortable with what he needs to deal with, he is confident, then alot of abstruction occurs and he wakes up. Sadly it was all a dream. And thought it was the best moment of his life. From 0:27 to 0:37 i feel like that effect was excellent because its a picture of a face having tears falling down his face, and we used the wave effect which shows it repeating, just a repetous meaning behind the picture. All the pictures that we showed in our video shows how the saddness of the boy becomes something that had a lot of meaning to it and he is happy with the choices he made. So the the order of how this video goes "feeling wise", Sad to happy back to sad. This video was a huge accopmlishment fior kenzie and myself. I'd have to say that 50% of our video is just pure effect due to time restriction. but we complited it and its still a good video with alot of meaning to it. One thing i learned from my video was that there is no time to waste cause its all the matter of how consistent you can be. A huge contribution the Kenzie made was all the aditing she did an excellent job in total. And a huge contribution i made was finding all the pictures to set the right mooid and tone for our video.
THANK YOU DR. A!!

Jabberwocky
Reflection: The special effect i used best was the the wave effect. What this effect does to the images is it makes it look like a wavey type of ideal and just abstract the viewers idea of the image. The mood that this effect gives us is like just layed back relaxed as the image us being viewed. This is our first time using. And i feel like it was a pretty good success, other then having a tad trouble but hey when you over power a trouble you feel like your the leader of the pack. The main idea of this effect was to try and get everything together and become an expert at it. Its just something you need to learn, once you learn how to do it, Just becomes natural.

surfer duude
Reflection: In our values video what im trying to represent is honesty because being honest will give you peoples trust and as a friend thats what you want most. There are a few things that taylor and myself have done to our video. And that was when we showed the clip when we finished off a script we had a shot flaring out to the sky. That was the one we were both proud of. There are still some minor things we need to fix like the edits and we still need to add a few clips but all in all its pretty much complete. One thing we do want feed back is our music, because i know we used it repeatedly and i have a feeling thats too cheesy, needs to be more professional. And one course we went through as a group is being able to make the correct edits. and we concurred it with the help of you Dr. A you helped us out alot and its highly appreaciated. Hopefully you guys love our final video on Values!

Thinking about our final video
POSITIVE COMMENTS
1. We especially like the shot when the camera turned towards the sky because it was a good transition from leaving the beach.- John and Joselyn
2. Overall, we thought your film was very comedic- John and Joselyn
3. We especially like the transitions –Blanca
4. We especially like the shot of Jose surfing because it showed the beginning of various funny scenes- Anonymous
5. Your group has talent.- Always, Sabrena, Ashley P, Eddie E
6. We rate your video a 9.- Always, Sabrena, Ashley P, Eddie E
SUGGESTION
1. Our strongest suggestion is that shorten the intro. Jacob D and Morgan D
2. Use of dramatic music and happy music would help the rising action, the climax, and the resolution. -John and Joselyn
3. Change the edits a little so it would look more smooth- Blanca
4. You can add to the resolution by showing all three characters having fun. This would help give us the idea that the values in the video were stronger-Jacob D and Morgan D
This post is from Jose, Taylor, And Kelsey
The positive comments that were most meaningful to us were from John and Sabrena. John told us that “We especially like the shot when the camera turned towards the sky because it was a good transition from leaving the beach” and that was helpful because we did know if that shot would be a good transition shot. In addition, Sabrena told us that “Your group has talent” , and that helped us see that our acting was good because we felt that it was “sketchy” because of the attempt on surfer dude accents.
The two best suggestions we got were from John and Jacob. John suggested that we “Use of dramatic music and happy music would help the rising action, the climax, and the resolution” . We agree with this suggestion, and our plan to address it is to make the resolution more clear by adding different music specific to the tone that needs to be set. Jacob suggested that we “Change the edits a little so it would look more smooth”. We agree with this suggestion, and our plan to address it is to do cleaner edits for the final draft.

Over The Shoulder By Jose & Michelle
Reflection: My group had planned this video out in several ways. First we chose who are the two that aren't afraid to be on camera. We chose myself and sabrina of course. We had planned this as if it was 2 individuals talking on over the shoulder shot. Over the shoulder is a shot that expresses a conversation going in between the two characters. The main impressions that over the shoulder shot shows is the fact that they both are in the video, but its going back and forth like a conversation.Full honesty i feel like i had a tad too much fun with this video and our conversation wasn't really expressed in a serious way. All in all i feel like this video was well done but can use minor adjustments. Another observation i did about my over the shoulder video was that i could have filmed a little more to the right side of the characters head, as of right now it shows too much of the other characters head and i feel like it has to be focused more on the person talking. All in all i feel like our video was well done. This exercise was to improve our over the shoulder shots and i feel like it made a huge impact on our skills because not only do we know how to film regularly, we can also film an over the shoulder shot was can help emphasize different topics.
